In my opinion, this course is the toughest BEMACS course. As I always tell my students, it is a very important stage along the way towards getting the BEMACS degree. The course has two main parts, linear algebra and multivariable function optimization. (Multivariable function optimization is no longer included in the course content from 2021-22.) The exams usually consist of theoretical questions. Even short questions may be in the form of proofs. Briefly, the course has very tough exams.
