BIEM's first math course has been becoming to have wider range of topics and greater difficulty. Exams include both open ended proof questions and multiple choice questions. The course includes many topics: basic math topics such as function, sequences, series; calculus topics such as differentiation and linear algebra with matrices. With this content, the course is similar to  BEMACS Math 1 course. ( For my BEMACS Math 1 materials please click here. ) To prepare my students for BIEM Math 1 course, I try to show how to find the correct answers in multiple choice questions by working on many sample questions and I teach how to approach proof questions.
