This course is organized in a way that the first half is basic math and the second half is financial math. So the course is like a union of two separate courses. Particularly, formulas in the second half can be challenging for students.  However, going over some basic principles of financial math (such as time value of money) makes everything easier. This is what I try to do while tutoring this course. And of course, I show how to use a scientific calculator (not TI, simple scientific calculator) rapidly and efficiently which is so important for financial math.
